Fifteen Fresno County places to eat are between 318 throughout the point out to receive grants from the California Restaurant Foundation’s Cafe Care Resilience Fund.

The California Cafe Basis (CRF) launched the fund in March in partnership with SoCalGas, Pacific Fuel and Electric Enterprise and San Diego Gas and Electrical, who collectively donated $1.25 million to fund grants up to $3,500 for small places to eat, with a portion of the donations going to CRF’s hardship fund for meals and beverage employees experiencing an unforeseen disaster.

Wells Fargo also made a $250,000 donation to fund year-extended small business assist providers for the 318 recipients.

Virtually 1,000 certified dining places applied for the grants.

Alycia Harshfield, government director of California Restaurant Foundation, stated: “We are impressed by the determination and grit of the dining establishments picked for the Resilience Fund grants. Numerous are multigeneration, family-owned enterprises with amazing tales and connections to their neighborhoods. The addition of the small enterprise assistance companies powered by Wells Fargo enhances the monetary grants offered by the utility providers and both of those are important for very long-phrase resilience as we arrive out of this pandemic.”

Of the 318 grant recipients, 65% are woman restaurant owners and 83% identify as folks of shade. More than 130 grants had been provided in Los Angeles County, 77 in San Diego County, 62 in San Francisco and Alameda Counties, 29 in Sacramento and San Joaquin Counties and 18 in Fresno and Kern Counties.
